Baldwin Pianos
Background of Baldwin Pianos
For nearly 150 years, Baldwin has been making America's favorite piano... In 1862, Dwight Hamilton Baldwin, an established music teacher widely known for his outstanding integrity as well as his vast musical knowledge, started a piano company where he would sell only those instruments that he could honestly recommend as being the finest available. However, he soon discovered that the only way of meeting these high standards was to design and build a piano himself. Thus the Baldwin piano & Organ Company was born. In nearly 150 years of building America's favorite piano, the Baldwin Piano Company has never wavered from D.H. Baldwin's original intent of providing the finest instruments possible. Today the Gibson Company is the owner of these fine pianos, and continues to oversee production with the same goals in mind. Hundreds of today's most renowned pianists, music organizations and prestigious music schools choose Baldwin pianos for practice, public performance and personal enjoyment. It is this unmatched commitment to quality and wide-spread acknowledgement that has made the name Baldwin synonymous with American music. Read more about Baldwin Pianos...
